Joe leads mulá group's efforts in multiple projects from pre-design through construction and post construction in the firm’s key market service areas of Retail+Restaurant, Healthcare+Education, Industrial+Municipal, and Urban. He is a licensed architect in multiple states, certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, and Healthcare Construction Certified by the American Society for Healthcare Engineering of the American Hospital Association. He is a graduate from Philadelphia University with a Bachelor of Architecture Degree including dual minors in Business and Historical Preservation.
Scott Summers is a licensed geologist at mulá group, where his extensive experience lends to his skillset to assess, strategize, manage, and regulate impacted sites. Scott has engaged in over 1000 environmental site assessments from areas in Central Pennsylvania to those in California. His knowledge in soil studies, foundation design, environmental site characterization, and more make him a key connection between mulá group's materials testing services and geotechnical engineering services. Researching and remediating projects bridging across 25+ states, Scott has experience with private and public sector work, site characterization studies, storage tank compliance/removals, and soil and groundwater remediation. His determination to find solutions to challenges on site generates a high degree of respect by clients, consultants and his peers. Scott’s level of consulting and environmental knowledge ranges from microbial impacts in old building structures downtown, to thousand gallon underground storage tank spills from the past that are being uncovered during construction. As projects develop, mulá group’s focus is to have a presence from start to finish. Scott is involved at the initial construction phase with soil testing through to the final inspections of foundation systems and soil stabilities.
At mulá group, Chug is the Director of Engineering. In addition to his many years in the field, he withholds a license in 25 states across the country working with national clients from coast to coast. Chug provides quality review and control over all engineering aspects from architecture to construction materials testing. He has over 20 years of experience in geotechnical consulting, geostructural design, and geotechnical/construction material testing and inspection. He holds both a Bachelor and Master degree in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical focus from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. His experience includes overseeing and managing geotechnical investigation programs and managing construction phase testing and inspections for site development projects. Chug prepares design plans and specifications for retaining wall structures, foundation underpinning, and on-site wastewater treatment and disposal systems.
John Snavely joined mulá group to lead operations at our second office location in Lancaster, PA. His Bachelor of Architecture degree from Roger Williams University along with his 12 years of experience as a Registered Architect and project manager make him a great asset to our team at mulá group. John has done extensive work on education and senior living facilities throughout his career and possesses a strong foundation in Lancaster, PA. As Director of Lancaster Operations, some of John’s responsibilities include managing staff and projects, developing new growth directives, and reviewing plans, workflow and staffing.
Doug Graby is a Registered Architect that provides mulá group with 28 years of experience designing and managing commercial and institutional projects. Doug graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from the University of Tennessee. His experiences contain a focus in educational and municipal market sectors. Some of Doug’s responsibilities at mulá group include supervising + mentoring staff through the design phase of projects, preparing construction documents, overseeing architectural services, contract + construction document preparation, and more.
Sarah Petersheim is mulá group’s Business Manager. Sarah’s role as Business Manager allows her to exercise her passion for business leadership and psychology. With her previous managerial experience, Sarah is accustomed to the demands of management and is motivated by results. Sarah graduated Summa Cum Laude from Lancaster Bible College of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies with a minor in Psychology. As Business Manager of mulá group Sarah oversees staffing, human resources, accounting, as well as keeping the team aligned with company goals. Sarah is a capable leader and is dedicated to efficiency, professionalism, and faithfully serving clients and the team at mulá group.
Janeen graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Interior Design from The Bradley Academy in York, Pennsylvania. She graduated with honors and was a member of the A.B.K. National Honor Society. She also served as a student member of ASID. She interned for an architectural firm in York and later spent five years working for the firm, gaining experience in the design process, finish specification, drafting technology, architectural standards and details. She worked closely with the architects, learning the skills it takes to be a project manager. Janeen also has experience in a supervisory role, which highlights her career experience as a leader in today’s design profession. Currently, Janeen is responsible for selecting appropriate interior finishes for projects, as well as drafting construction documents sets. Janeen has recently completed her Healthcare Certification Course from the license only furthering her expertise and involvement in our Healthcare studio.
With over 16 years of experience in the construction industry, Jason Richards joins mulá group as the Construction Services Manager. He brings with him the knowledge of material testing and special inspections. Jason has established relationships with contractors, owners, and engineers across the Mid-Atlanic region. Jason’s skills set in scheduling, establishing and maintaining client and employee relationships, technical training in labs, and field observations give him a multitude of opportunities in the construction field before, during, and after a project. He is well-practiced at extracting, testing, and tracking data that he collects from concrete, soil, and masonry lab specimens. Jason manages all of our Field Technicians and is responsible for overseeing our in-house materials testing lab.
Mitch Lenker’s role at mulá group involves a variety of different tasks including project management, environmental site assessments, construction phase observations, and both geotechnical and geologic investigating and reporting. Before joining mulá group, Mitch was an assistant project manager at a local engineering company. He also had the opportunity to complete several intensive field camps in multiple states across the country. Bloomsburg University is where Mitch chose to study his field, completing his education with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Professional Geology. On top of his education, Mitch holds the following accreditations: Nuclear Moisture Density Gauge Certification, ACI, and GIT. Mitch’s assortment of experiences in conjunction with his education has allowed him to establish expertise in aqueous geochemistry, site construction, and grading. Mitch enjoys collaborating with co-workers and is a flexible worker being comfortable in the field, in the lab, and in the office.
Blair Lehman serves clients of mulá group as a proficient Project Technician, using fresh ideas to contribute to the firm’s services of master planning, construction observation, and code analyses. Blair graduated cum laude from Marywood University (Scranton, Pennsylvania), where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture. Blair’s collegiate accolades include winning the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) Student Design Competition, being President of MU’s Student Center, and serving as vice president in the School of Architecture Student Council. Academic excellence has since translated into her work at mulá group as Blair contributes high quality and efficient services. She brings her creative thinking and specialization in adaptive reuse to mulá group to help transform old buildings into renovated, beautiful spaces for others to enjoy. Blair’s determination and focus on space design are invaluable to mula group projects; her diligent code review and persistent analysis of new and existing spaces help to assist clients, engineers, and other designers to achieve optimal functionality.
Morgen Woodford exercises her exuberant passion for the design industry as a Project Designer for mulá group. After graduating cum laude from Marywood University (Scranton, Pa.) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Architecture, Morgen contributes to the firm’s seasoned team to expand on her strengths and learn new skills. Studying design in Italy has inspired Morgen's unique, non-traditional approach to her work with adaptive reuse; her ability to re-imagine existing spaces demonstrates Morgen's skill in space-planning and designing with diligent efficiency at the apex of every project. Morgen’s main focus is on her clients. She designs for the people while adding her own design character to a project. She prioritizes the clients of mulá group by equally valuing a project's vision and the clients schedule. Her design style is ingenious and well-tailored, allowing her to collaborate with clients to meet their design goals and deadlines.
Working towards his Bachelor of Architecture degree at Thomas Jefferson University, Chris translates the team's design ideas into working Construction Documents that are used for permitting, bidding, and construction. Embodying mulá group's full-service approach, Chris helps the firm’s effort in multiple projects from pre-design through construction and post construction in the firm’s market service areas of Healthcare, Landlord and Tenant Retail and Urban Renovations/Adaptive Reuse. Chris is a graduate of York County School of Technology with four years of experience studying architectural drafting, and theoretical design, which has provided him with valuable knowledge on the design progress of construction builds. His prevailing time at mulá group demonstrates his allegiance to his forthcoming experiences and achievements in the design and construction profession.
Ethan Cluck is our Project Technician. Ethan’s responsibilities involve assisting the architectural staff with construction document production used for bidding, permitting, and construction. Ethan is a valuable member of mulá group’s team because he understands the importance of time management skills and the ability to communicate well with others both verbally and in writing. As a fourth-year student at York County School of Technology, Ethan has had the opportunity to expand his knowledge on AutoCad and Revit software. His education has also provided him with knowledge on residential estimation, land surveying, and Building Code Compliance.
Ashley Miller is a Project Designer for mulá group. She received her Associate degree in Architecture from Harrisburg Area Community College and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. Ashley’s determination and hardworking personality shines bright through her work at mulá group. Her vast knowledge and skills working in Adobe software, as well as Revit and AutoCAD allow her to execute tasks swiftly and meet schedules with ease.
Madelyn graduated with an associate degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Madelyn is detail oriented and motivated to be organized and efficient, allowing her to excel in her position with mulá group as an Administrative Coordinator. Madelyn is immersed in duties across each service line as she interacts with and aids each member of mulá group’s team. The diversity of her role at mulá group provides Madelyn with an opportunity to do new things each day, gaining a deeper understanding of the mechanics behind each of the firm’s six service lines: Architecture, Interiors, Geotechnical, Materials Testing, Special Inspections, and Environmental. Along with administrative tasks, Madelyn also influences and executes the firms marketing efforts, channeling her passion for and experience in marketing. This allows her to apply her creativity to promote mulá group and expand her knowledge about marketing in the construction industry.
Scott Davis joins the firm bringing over 25 years of experience to our growing Materials Testing and Special Inspections service line. He holds a Level 1 Certification from the American Concrete Institute and is our lead Field Technician.
Gavin Rotante provides both Geotechnical and Construction Materials Testing assistance to our team. His civil engineering education provides him with a strong foundation of knowledge regarding the engineering industry and his quick-learning skills allow him to be fluid in his position. Eager to learn and open minded to mentorship by the licensed professionals at mulá group, we are glad to have Gavin on our team.
As a full time summer employee, Patrick assists our Construction Materials Testing + Special Inspection staff wherever he can in the field. His plans to attend Temple University in the fall reflect his desire to expand his education and invest in his future.
Dylan McClure joined mulá group as a Geotechnical Engineering/Construction Materials Technician. Dylan’s workdays consist of a blend of field work and office work. In the field, he assists with geotechnical and materials testing focused projects, while in the office he contributes to document production. Dylan is currently pursuing Civil Engineering at York College of Pennsylvania. His education thus far has augmented his skill set giving him a better understanding of an assortment of engineering application programs. His eagerness to learn and expand his knowledge even further in various fields of work is why Dylan is so well suited to be a member of the team at mulá group.
